Daisy Fleabane (Erigeron speciosus)

This daisy-style flower belongs to the Composite Family that includes all the Asrters of our woods, the Field Daisy and other wild flowers. To be found from Newfoundland to British Columbia and from Florida to Texas. It grows 1 to 3 feet highand the "ray flowers" or the fringe of the flower head may be light rose -purple, pink, or whitish. The centr disks are always yellow. The leaves at the base of the stem may be 3 inches long and narrowish. It may be found any time from April through August.
