It is a small white flower growing amid much larger rich green leaves close to the ground. This plant grows from 3 to 7 inches in height and the stem has from 1 to 3 lance-shaped to oval leaves that are heart-shaped at the base. The small, delicate flowers, form a "terminal raceme". They bloom in May and June and sometimes in July.
