Bigger than the Rose-breasted Grosbeak, it is the size of a Robin. The male adult has a rose-red head and chest, with dark wings with two white bars. The female is gray with two white wing bars, head and rump tinged dull yellow. You will usually see the Pine Grosbeak at Breeches in Wintertime, but not very often. Take a picture if you see one.
