This type of Wild Rose is found in dry rocky grounds and grows from 6 inches to a couple of feet in height, much branched. The lovely flowers have a most delightful odour. The thorns are only at the places where the leaves branch from the stem. The 5-petaled flower is about 2 inches in diameter. Note the general resemblance of the leaves to those of the Strawberry, Blackberry and Cinquefoil. They all belong to the Rose family.
